One woman. One horse. 48 states for Domestic Violence Awareness

Check back often for the latest updates and stories from Meredith and Apollo as they journey 10,000 miles on a four year ride around the USA.

Ride Route & Schedule

The Centauride: Riding for Domestic Violence Awareness is expected to as much as 4 years and cover more than 10,000 miles to reach 48 states.  Actual distance, timing, and other data will be change through the ride as factors such as road conditions, weather, detours, etc will affect these estimates.

The following map shows the full route as completed (in orange, as of winter 2019/20) and expected (in purple), from where we started in California on January 1, 2017 to where I expect to finish in fall 2022.

Curious when we’ll be in your state? Here’s an estimate of our 4 year schedule.  States we’ve already visited include a link to the blog post about our ride there.

  1. I am intrigued... In scanning through your route I noticed What I believe to be an error. You are traveling from Raleigh, NC to Laurinburg VA. I believe you ment to post Laurinburg, NC. Otherwise, I can't for the life of me understand why you would go north to go south.... Good luck with your journey. I would ride some with you if you would have any ride a longs...

  13. I commend you for your strength! I tend to call myself a "lifer" when it comes to abuse of many types. The subject definitely needs more attention and action against it. I noticed you aren't travelling much in Utah, but would love to drive up north and see you and your horse!! Lots of prayers coming your way. Safe travels.
