What is your favorite season for horseback riding?
Apollo and I love to ride all year long, but when traveling across the country the weather can get in the way without some careful planning. In this episode, we discuss the strategies and limits of year-round horse travel. Also, a training update!

What's my favorite season for horseback riding? I'd say autumn! The crisp air keeps both me and my mare feeling energized, and the changing leaves create the most beautiful scenery. Have you ever gone riding through a forest ablaze with fall colors? It's breathtaking! Makes you want to relax with an ice cream cone from papa's freezeria .

ReplyDeleteReally enjoyed hearing about the seasonal horse activities, and your insights on keeping things fun year-round reminded me of the simple joys I get from play Doodle Baseball online when I take a quick break from riding.
ReplyDeleteThe part about covering 10,000 miles on horseback seems staggering, especially when you think about crossing the Rockies and the plains. How do you and Apollo handle the long stretches between towns for water and feed, or is there a support vehicle following along?
