One woman. One horse. 48 states for Domestic Violence Awareness

Check back often for the latest updates and stories from Meredith and Apollo as they journey 10,000 miles on a four year ride around the USA.

The show must go on!

I have lost track of how many times I've been asked this week "what if your Kickstarter fails? will you still do the ride?"

The short answer is yes, I will still ride.

The medium answer is, if you're fabulously rich or know someone who is, there is still time to donate to my Kickstarter campaign! (see sidebar)

And for the long answer:

As nice as it would be to have the Kickstarter be a success, this is not what the ride plans hinge upon.  I have been planning this ride for over two years.  I am certainly not going to let a little thing like lack of crowdfunding stop me!   Also, Apollo would be so disappointed.

A full 1/3 of the Kickstarter total is for rewards.  Most of the remainder is for equipment and other sundry costs to make a documentary film about the ride.

Without Kickstarter funding, I will still document the ride, but not devote much in the way of budget or energy to that aspect of the ride.  There may not be a DVD to make at the end.  After all, with low budget technology, the footage I am able to capture may not be worth watching!

However, filming issues aside, I will be riding as planned.

If you do still want to back this ride, in an amount less than $29,000 or after July 7, 2016, I will be accepting donations at patreon.com (stay tuned for more info).

Don't forget also, it is just as helpful to help me network along my route!  For more on other ways you can support my ride, click here.
